Hi. It's been a while
Whoo. Wow hi there.
Sorry about that.
I got out of the habit of writing these things back in December with the holidays and whatnot and I just….never started again.
This year I’m doubling down on my Youtube channel and really wanted to make sure I was doing as much over there as possible. Which means I’ve been phoning it in everywhere else, as far as content goes.
My goal is to get to 500 Youtube subscribers by the end of the year, which means around 1 new subscriber per day from where I’m standing now.
(Wanna help with that goal? Click below!)
I’m doing two videos per week now with one of them being more educational and scripted while the other is more casual and conversational.
In a big win for myself, I actually recorded NEXT week’s first video last Friday! That’s the first time I’ve ever been ahead on recording and it made me realize that I might want to start treating Fridays as content days. If I can at least record a handful of educational videos every other Friday, then I can edit and schedule posts in the Fridays in between.
And I miss doing these posts on Substack, so I’ll need to find a way to make more time for this, too.
How do you decide what platform gets your attention and being ok with everything else falling through the cracks?

I learned in 2025 that I'm better off doing what fills me first, then doing what needs to happen next, and if there's space after that I can add in what is "supposed to help". Because after trying to fit it all in last year all I did was burn out on content creation. So for me, 2026 is about trying to avoid burning out again and getting back into creating again.
